The Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) is the leading European forum for collaboration between pension funds and other institutional investors on issues related to climate change. The IIGCC has over 45 members – pension funds and asset managers across Europe – representing around EUR4 trillion of assets. The IIGCC’s objectives are:
• to encourage public policy solutions that ensure an orderly and efficient move to a low carbon economy and support measures for adaptation to unavoidable climate change which are consistent with long-term investment objectives
• to encourage a pro-active approach amongst asset owners and asset managers on climate change in order to preserve and enhance long-term investment values.
• to improve company disclosure/performance on climate change. |

Eurosif, European Social Investment Forum, was created in 2001 to serve as an umbrella association to cover socially responsible investment issues at the European level. The approach to SRI has specific national characteristics linked to the particularities of the structure of financial markets and the legislative and cultural environments of each country. Eurosif takes these factors into account and addresses SRI issues with the European scope in mind.
Eurosif members are made up of the national social investment forums in Europe (SIFs) who govern Eurosif. Eurosif member affiliates are organisations who join Eurosif as financial sponsors of Eurosif’s mission. |
