 Thaddeus Heutteman

Thaddeus J. Huetteman is an internationally recognized expert in the area of emissions credit trading and environmental compliance and boasts over 30 years of experience in this field.

He is President of Power & Energy Analytic Resources (PEAR) which publishes the PEAR Emerging Markets Outlook, PEAR Emissions Market Meter and for the past three years, has been named “Best Advisory/Consultancy – US Emissions/All Markets” by the readers of Environmental Finance magazine.

He is also Chairman of the Environmental Markets Association and was involved in efforts to formulate regulations for early emissions trading programs in the US. He created the first trade newsletter to cover allowance prices and emissions trading and developed one of the first SO2 allowance forecasting models.

From 1986–89, he was director of coal market forecasting for DRI/McGraw-Hill. He began his career as an energy policy analyst for the US Environmental Protection Agency.
