EPA blasts American Electric Power over false coal shutdown claims

Utility American Electric Power (AEP) is incorrectly claiming that its flurry of planned coal unit retirements and retrofits is being instigated by pending US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, according to a top EPA official.
