Vodafone scoops award for best corporate responsibility report
London, 13 March: Vodafone Group's corporate responsible (CR) report has been voted the best published in 2007. The award is one of nine organised by Corporate Register.com, which claims to have the world’s largest directory of corporate responsibility reports from the past decade.

Votes were cast by users of the CorporateRegister.com website on five criteria: content, communication, credibility, commitment and comparability. ABN Amro was the runner-up in this category and BP took third place.

The other categories and winners in the inaugural CR Reporting Awards were:

The aim of the awards – the first to accept entries from any reporting company and to be judged by an established constituency of report readers – is to help ensure reports are transparent, credible, communicate well and address the material issues. More than 2,500 CR reports were published in 2007, of which 300 were submitted for these awards. Environmental Finance was the sponsor of the best carbon disclosure award.
