CLP shines a light on sustainability
London, 3 April: Hong Kong-based electricity generator China Light and Power (CLP) has released its 2007 sustainability report.

New this year is a feature article 'A Regional Dilemma' about the challenge of meeting the growing need for energy in developing countries without devastating consequences to the climate. CLP offers a frank discussion on real experience in China and India.

The firm has set short- and long-term targets for cutting the greenhouse gas emissions intensity of its operations and a target for production from renewable energy sources.

The web-based report, rated A+ by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), includes a GRI G3 content index and indicator.

Other corporate social responsibility reports published in March, via ReportAlert.info, a report announcement joint venture between Environmental Finance Publications and Corporate Register, include those from:

LEGO Group
Talisman Energy
Syngenta
GlaxoSmithKline
Nestlé
BASF
International Council on Mining and Metals
