April issue of Environmental Finance out now

London, 10 April: The latest issue of Environmental Finance is now available, including a special section on the financing of nuclear power.
The features explain how countries around the world are reassessing the role of nuclear power, and ask if the nuclear industry can count on carbon prices to underpin its renaissance.
Elsewhere in the issue, Jos Delbeke, deputy director-general of the European Commission’s environment department, argues for the gradual replacement of the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism with deeper commitments from developing countries to reduce emissions.
Profiled this month is Bozena Jankowska, a fund manager at Allianz RCM who has raised €1.7 billion into its EcoTrends environmental fund.
The issue also examines the European Investment Bank’s climate change lending strategy, as well as India’s leading wind turbine maker, Suzlon.
Other features include:
- How investment in biofuels is changing
-
What companies should be doing to manage their carbon risk
-
How financiers are stepping up to meet the challenge of financing solar power
-
What the US court’s decision to reject the Environmental Protection Agency's mercury proposals means for industry
