Climate change is top concern for RWE
London, 1 May: German utility RWE has said climate change is the most important corporate responsibility (CR) issue facing the firm, which is a leading supplier of electricity generated from fossil fuels and Europe’s largest emitter of carbon dioxide.
In its 2007 CR report, published last month, RWE reports on targets and actions to reduce its annual carbon dioxide emissions of close to 153 million tonnes. It has also introduced a set of key performance indicators to enhance transparency and enable more effective management of key CR issues.
