July-August issue of Environmental
Finance out now

London, 19 July: The latest issue of Environmental
Finance is now available, including a special section
on investing in the water sector.
According to Environmental Finance research, the last
six months have seen no fewer than 13 new investment vehicles
launched, or announced, to give investors exposure to the
water sector. The issue examines the drivers behind growing
investor interest in water and looks at how private equity
investors are assessing the sector.
Elsewhere in the issue, former Shell Transport and Trading
chairman Ron Oxburgh gives a spirited defense of biofuels,
and we interview Kevin Walsh, the man leading General Electric's
planned $4 billion renewable energy investment charge.
Other features in the issue include:
How the financing could be raised to turn carbon capture
and storage from great white hope to business-as-usual;
A report on the continuing growth of the carbon funds
market;
Why the EU Emissions Trading Scheme should be split in
two;
What the US could learn from the Clean Development Mechanism
about designing a carbon offsets programme; and
Analysis of Australia's attempts to ameliorate the effects
of drought by using a water trading scheme.
The issue also includes news, market data and people moves.
