Sustainable Investment Awards 2026

Environmental fund of the year - Americas; Multi-asset manager of the year: VOX Capital

Brazil's impact-focused asset manager VOX Capital was the recipient of two awards this year, topping the Multi-asset manager of the year and Environmental fund of the year - Americas category.

Founded in 2009, VOX Capital has acted as a provider of finance for impact businesses via a range of investment strategies, including venture capital, private debt and blended finance.

VOX Capital has applied a rigorous impact framework across its $340 million portfolio operating under various industry standards, backed by a 28-person team led by head of impact Laís Rocha.

As of Q4 2025, its venture capital portfolio alone has generated a significant impact with 98,000 people served through healthcare solutions, 135,000 students enrolled in digital higher education courses, 49,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent mitigated through climate projects, 8,900 hectares under conservation and sustainable management and 1,158 loans granted to underserved populations.

Its VOX CCAT Fund – a strategy aimed at accelerating Brazil's transition to sustainable and deforestation-free agriculture – was chosen by Sustainable Investment Awards judges as the winner of the Environmental fund of the year – Americas category.

Operating as a fund of funds, CCAT uses concessional capital in subordinated positions within a range of credit instruments for projects in the Cerrado and Amazon biomes, which reduces risk and enables the entry of large-scale commercial capital. The Nature Conservancy serves as the environmental and social impact adviser to VOX.

It successfully completed its first closing in December 2025 with approximately $50 million in commitments from impact investors including the Moore Foundation, Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP), Norway's International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI), Instituto Arapyau and Porticus.

"The fund's strong governance architecture, with independent impact oversight and impact‑linked carry, is to be particularly highlighted," said one judge. "While early-stage, the strategy's systemic ambition, policy alignment and capital mobilisation justify first place."
