Environmental Finance
is pleased to announce that the second annual Green Bonds California conference will take place in Santa Monica on October 16 at the offices of The Milken Institute.

The first Green Bond Symposium in February 2018 was a tremendous success with the Milken Institute at capacity with 300 delegates attending during the day.  The audience participated in discussions around the challenge of the need for infrastructure funding and growing the pool of both issuers and investors.  Standardization, pricing and the functioning of the market were all identified as issues whilst solutions such as a responsible investor program, a municipal issuer fund and a green bond bank were also proposed.

Whilst municipal issuance in the US has continued strongly with investors building stakes in the successful outcomes of local municipal projects and infrastructure upgrades challenges remain how to win the argument with corporate America and channel the money needed.

Environmental Finance is delighted to be holding a second green bond conference on 16th October at the offices of the Milken Institute.  This will be part of a two-day Symposium with the Milken Institute hosting a focussed and invitation only Innovation Lab on the 15th October.  The new State Treasurer Fiona Ma has confirmed that she will attend and speak at the conference with her team.

Over the years, Environmental Finance's green bond conferences have been an essential forum for debate within the market with dates in London, New York, Santa Monica and Singapore.  If you would like to attend the event in Santa Monica or be involved in the programme through sponsorship please do contact rachel.narborough@fieldgibsonmedia.com.
