GRESB - GRESB – Non-listed Infrastructure Data
- Environmental data
- Social data
- Governance data
What data do you provide?
GRESB assesses the sustainability performance of infrastructure funds and assets worldwide. We offer ESG data, Scorecards, Benchmark Reports and portfolio analysis tools. GRESB provides investors and managers with high quality, granular data and analytics on the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance of real asset investments. GRESB Investor Members with access to our Non-listed Infrastructure dataset receive an in-depth analysis of the ESG performance of infrastructure funds and assets, as well as their performance against their peers via the Benchmark report. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 crisis, the Infrastructure Fund Assessment grew to 75 funds completing both components – obtaining a GRESB Fund Score reflecting overall ESG performance at the portfolio level – and 118 completing the Management Component. By region, Europe-focused funds are the largest contingent, followed by Globally Diversified. The Assessment now covers 32% of IPE Real Assets’ Top 100 Infrastructure Investment Managers, and 38% of the Infrastructure Investor Top 50 – participating with at least one fund. Investors with a non-listed data subscription will be able to request access to ESG data of non-listed entities participating in GRESB.
Where and how do you source your data?
The data is self-reported by Assessment participants between April 1 and July 1 each year and subjected to a multi-layer validation process after which it is scored and benchmarked. GRESB also works with several data partners. GRESB Data Partners are a subset of GRESB Partners who help GRESB participants report asset data to the GRESB Asset Portal via the Asset Spreadsheet or GRESB API – ensuring more reliable data collection practices.
Who are the data users?
More than 100 institutional investors, including pension funds and insurance companies, use GRESB data and analytical tools to optimize the risk/return profile of their investments. The Assessment provides a communication platform to improve engagement with investors and enables participants to report validated ESG performance information in a format and language that serves their needs.
