Brief description of the data offering
FAIRR is a free-to-join investor member network providing detailed research, analysis and benchmarking tools regarding the animal agriculture industry. The data is used by investors to assess the material environmental, social and governance risks associated with these animal protein producers. Our data focuses on a range of risk and opportunity factors such as greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation and biodiversity loss, water scarcity, antibiotics, waste and pollution, working conditions, food safety, animal welfare and sustainable proteins.
Where and how do you source your data?
We source our data using publicly available information, including (but not limited to) annual and sustainability reports, company websites and CDP disclosures. Our data and methodology focuses on companies’ levels of disclosures, practices, policies and performance across risk factors. Our methodology is grounded in international and industry specific standards. Our Protein Producer Index covers 60 of the largest global animal protein companies with significant material exposure to the five main animal protein categories (beef, dairy, pork, poultry, aquaculture).
Who are the data users?
Our data is applicable to a wide range of users ranging from our investor members to corporates, general public, stakeholders and issue experts. Through membership, third parties are able to gain access to company specific assessments, full reports, and full datasets of the 60 companies.
