Bloomberg captures ESG data from company financial filings, annual reports, CSR reports, company websites, news and other relevant releases.

Bloomberg governance data updates daily with company executive, board, and committee summaries and profiles based on public filings and news.

Who are the data users?
Our ESG data is used by investment professionals in buy- and sell-side firms, corporations and governments via the Bloomberg Professional Service.
Specifically, buy-side clients are looking for efficient, robust ESG integration across investment processes and asset classes. Bloomberg tools help manage research and engagement to assist investors in quantifying and reporting on ESG activities, in maximizing impact on portfolio decisions and in engaging with portfolio companies.
Financial institutions incorporate ESG data into evolving underwriting, including growing thematic debt underwriting. Bloomberg ESG data is also increasingly integrated into sell side analysis to broaden analyst insights into global sustainability risks and opportunities.
What is the cost for your data offering?
Access to our ESG data plus Bloomberg research, news and analytical tools is included in the cost of the Bloomberg Terminal. Bloomberg’s ESG data is also available as an enterprise data feed, designed to be used off-Terminal by multiple applications and people within an organization, on a different fee structure.
