Brief description of the data offering
We provide data-led environmental consulting services for financial institutions to help them across their climate journey, from understanding portfolio-level financed carbon emissions or climate-related risks, to setting Net Zero targets and aligning with the Paris agreement. As part of this, we use data to support clients' voluntary disclosure to reporting frameworks including CDP and TCFD, as well as regulatory needs, such as EU Taxonomy or SFDR.

Where and how do you source your data?
South Pole’s carbon impact assessment tool sources publicly reported environmental and financial data, selected environmental extended input output tables (EEIOT), statistical data, industry data and internally calibrated estimation models.
South Pole's climate-related risk tool includes data on vulnerability, hazard and exposure as well as forward-looking scenarios to assess both physical and transition risks. Data sources include publicly available information from a range of sources including intergovernmental organisations, non-governmental organisations, institutions and academia.
