What data do you provide?
Inrate covers a broad range of approaches enabling pre-investment decisions such as ESG Impact Ratings and its subsegments for exclusions, controversies or positive-screening as well as portfolio-analysis or investment-universe. Further we offer a Climate Impact Product, SDG Portfolio Analysis and ESG Country Rating. Inrate also provides post-investment decisions such as Voting and Engagement Services.
In addition to conventional analysis of CSR reports, the Inrate considers the impact of production and products, measuring the positive and negative impact of companies on the environment and society. The ratings are of absolute comparability of the overall impact of a company across sector boundaries. Inrate is one of the few independent rating provider (not offering any other data e.g. financial-ratings apart from sustainability data).
Where and how do you source your data?
Inrate owns and manages a proprietary database with ESG Impact Ratings for more than 3000 listed companies. The data originates from Inrate’s own primary research of publicly available information. The evaluation process is systematic and qualitative.
Inrate performs three evaluation streams: First, it allocates the business activities of a company and rates these with an underlying impact measurement matrix of more than 330 activities. Second, Inrate reviews based on 180 industry-specific indicators the reported CSR performance of a company. Third, controversies are screened from media and other reliable sources. All three streams together are compiled and result in an overall ESG Impact Rating (A to D, in 12 knots).
We also provide SDG and Climate Impact Data.
Who are the data users?
Asset managers, banks, pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, foundations and NGOs.
What is the cost for your data offering?
The price depends on the asset under management.
