What data do you provide?
CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
The 2018 CDP Climate Change dataset contains comprehensive quantitative and qualitative data from more than 2,600 companies publicly disclosing environmental information to CDP. It includes over 140 questions covering the areas of climate risks and low carbon opportunities, governance and strategy, emissions management, and more. The questionnaire has been tailored to include sector-specific modules, improved alignment with other reporting frameworks, and an emphasis on forward-looking metrics, offering the largest and most comprehensive primary environmental dataset in the world. ??
Where and how do you source your data?
On behalf of its 525 investors representing $96 trillion in assets, as well as 125 purchasing companies with a combined annual spend of $3.6 trillion, CDP requests data from companies around the world on their environmental performance via its water security questionnaire. This information is entirely self-reported from companies in more than 70 countries. CDP provides questionnaire guidance to companies to ensure uniform responses for a comparable dataset.
Who are the data users?
