What data do you provide?
GRESB assesses the sustainability performance of infrastructure funds and assets worldwide. We offer Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data, Scorecards, Benchmark Reports and portfolio analysis tools. The GRESB Infrastructure Assessment has two complementary components, a Fund Assessment and an Asset Assessment. Both components address critical aspects of ESG performance through a standardized, globally applicable, reporting and benchmarking framework. The Assessments focus on operating investments, infrastructure assets, companies and funds, and cover the full breadth of infrastructure sectors, including energy generation, water resource management, transportation and social infrastructure. GRESB’s Asset Data Description enables fund managers to access detailed ESG performance data and benchmarks for all their underlying assets participating in the Asset Assessment.
Where and how do you source your data?
ESG Data is submitted on an annual basis by both single and multi-asset operators through indicators from the GRESB Infrastructure Asset Assessment. GRESB assess and validates the submitted data to ensure that investors and managers who use the data can rely on it. Based on the validation conclusion, GRESB applies an objective scoring model to score and benchmark each participant. This process is completed directly through the GRESB Portal, a 100% secure online environment. Funds participating in the Infrastructure Asset Assessment with at least 25% of assets receive an overall GRESB score and are allocated to a corresponding peer group.
Who are the data users?
GRESB Infrastructure Fund Manager Members that are invested in the asset have access to the entity’s Benchmark Report. Common examples of infrastructure funds include: a sector-focused fund with investments in toll roads, a geographic-focused fund with investments in a specific region, or a segregated account that is globally diversified.
