What data do you provide?
At the Luxembourg Green Exchange, we provide data on green, social and sustainability bonds as well as on green, social and ESG funds.
We provide ESG data in structured, unstructured as well as downloadable PDF formats on over 300 securities listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
We provide in structured format among others the name of the external reviewer, the eligible project categories, proof of alignment with international standards (eg ICMA GBP) and the projected date of post-issuance reporting. We also carve out detailed descriptions of use of proceeds, management of proceeds, process for project selections and commitment to post issuance reporting. Finally, we provide a wide range of documents including, but not limited to: impact data, post issuance reports, external reviews and investment strategies.
Where and how do you source your data?
To offer a comprehensive data set we compile it from four different sources. The legal documentation is provided by the issuers during the listing process. We gather additional data and documents that are made publically available on the issuers or third party reviewers’ websites. Other data is also sourced via surveys submitted to Asset Managers or documentation received directly from bond issuers.
Finally, due to our preferred relationship with foreign exchanges e.g. Shanghai or Shenzhen stock exchange, we obtain English translations from external reviews, post issuance reports including impact data previously only available in Chinese.
Our sustainable finance analysts then analyse, compare the data, and extract key metrics to present it in a structured, comparable and unbiased manner on our platform.
Who are the data users?
We are catering to a wide range of users including asset managers and institutional investors in Europe, North America and Asia. Over 50% of our data users come from Europe and about 30% are Chinese.
International investors also turn to the Luxembourg Stock Exchange as the access point to data and information on Chinese domestic green securities listed and traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) or traded on the Chinese Interbank Bond Market (CIBM).
Academic researchers and other stakeholders have also reached out to us for our ESG data.
What is the cost for your data offering?
Data is available free of charge on all 300 green, social and sustainable securities on our website. We track the data all along the time frame between the listing date and the maturity date of the security. There is no login required to access the platform, structured data points can therefore be consulted on each security’s dedicated page and documents can be downloaded gratuitously.
As soon as we receive updated data from issuers or third parties, the documentation is uploaded and again made publicly available free of charge (updates occur at minima once a year).
Users can request a personalised set of ESG documentation or a compilation of structured data. Such specialised demands are priced according to the requested data volume.
