Winning the global Environmental fund of the year award for its Global Climate and Environment Fund, Nordea's global equity strategy invests in businesses providing clean energy, resource efficiency, and environmental protection.

The fund has delivered 107.52% cumulative returns over the past five years, surpassing the 89.32% of its reference index, its submission said.

The award's judges celebrated the fund's scale and its evidence for clearly demonstrating how its investments deliver climate change mitigation outcomes and environmental protection.

Nordea has also been awarded the global Social fund of the year award for its $838 million Global Diversity Engagement Fund, investing in 'diversity improvers' to engage with companies on their diversity indicators throughout the investment.

Nordea targets companies with a lens across gender, ethnicity, age, and socio-economic status, as well as inclusivity themes such as female occupation of the board, equal opportunities in career development, and gender pay gap disclosure.
Its active engagement comprises thorough dialogues and regular meetings to track progress against pre-defined objectives.
