Sustainable Investment Awards 2025

Fixed income manager of the year: Mirova; Private equity ESG fund of the year: Mirova's Impact Private Equity Fund

Winning two awards in this year's Sustainable Investment Awards, the awards judges were impressed to see Mirova's fixed income funds were classified Article 9 – the highest level of sustainability – under the EU's Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

As of 31 March 2025, Mirova's team of 10 fund managers and credit analysts oversee €7.3 billion ($8.31 billion) in fixed income assets, an increase from under €2 billion at the end of 2018.

With over a decade of experience in green, social, and sustainability bonds (GSSB), says its research-driven fixed income platform is an example of how a responsible manager can drive systemic change in capital markets, while delivering durable value to clients and the broader economy.

With over a decade of experience in green bonds, Mirova – which was named Fixed income manager of the year – states that its research-driven fixed income platform exemplifies how a responsible manager can contribute to drive systemic change in capital markets while aiming to deliver durable value to clients and the broader economy through green, social, and sustainability bonds (GSSB).

Also winning the award for Private equity ESG fund of the year, Mirova's Environment Acceleration Capital (MEAC) fund closed in 2024 with a €211 million portfolio spanning six countries and 11 companies.

With a focus on scaling sustainable businesses through growth-stage capital, the fund targets five high-impact sectors – agri-tech, circular economy, clean energy, natural resources, and sustainable cities – each contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

According to Mirova, it seeks to embed impact at every stage of the investment process. Each portfolio company co-develops an Impact Plan and Sustainability Roadmap with measurable ESG outcomes.
