Sustainable Investment Awards judges praised ISS STOXX for its "comprehensive rating methodology" when awarding the Sustainability rating solution tool of the year accolade.

ISS STOXX Corporate Rating, with its newly integrated Governance QualityScore, is aligned with international frameworks and regulations, including the UN Global Compact, UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), International Labour (ILO) standards, OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, UN PRI and EU Sustainable Finance Regulation.

The solution combines global coverage (approximately 12,000 issuers) with an A to D- rating scale and tools that support screening, allocation, risk monitoring and reporting.

The Governance QualityScore (GQS), covering board structure, compensation, shareholder rights and audit and risk oversight, is integrated into the Corporate Rating proposition. It focuses on qualitative governance dimensions and is aligned with ISS voting policy by region, aiming to link governance research and decision-making.

The GQS was updated in October 2025 to address emerging risk themes by introducing AI oversight and expanding its benchmark coverage.
