GRESB provides sustainability data, benchmarks, and analytics to more than 150 institutional and financial investors globally, helping them assess and improve portfolio- and asset-level performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and pathways to long-term value creation. Through our assessments, we offer validated data on real estate portfolios and infrastructure funds, and assets worth over USD 9 trillion.
Investors use GRESB’s standardized data to engage with managers to drive measurable impact, foster resilience across portfolios, and achieve financial goals. Investor tools include the Carbon Footprint Dashboard, the Portfolio Analysis Tool, and the Data Exporter as well as data and benchmarks from the annual GRESB Assessments.
Where and how do you source your data?
GRESB data is primarily sourced through our globally recognized annual Assessments for real estate and infrastructure. Participating entities submit data directly to GRESB, with the data then subject to a multi-layer validation process including automated checks, third-party review, and benchmarking. We also use proprietary estimation methods, such as the GRESB Estimation Methodology (GEM), to address data gaps using peer-based benchmarks. Our data collection is aligned with investor and industry standards, providing the transparency and comparability needed for effective risk management and long-term value creation. GRESB works closely with the non-profit GRESB Foundation to continuously evolve its methodology in alignment with industry needs and priorities.
