Brief description of the data offering
Our ESG model assesses companies as issuers of equities and corporate bonds.
A company’s ESG profile is then determined by its performance on material ESG factors which MainStreet Partners groups into 4 categories under each pillar of ESG, for a total of 12 categories, as mentioned above. The ESG rating is updated on a monthly basis to further take into account potential controversial behaviours that can negatively influence companies ESG indicators, categories and therefore the final ESG rating.
Where and how do you source your data?
Our proprietary company model uses 200+ factors to produce ESG ratings of corporate issuers. Raw data is sourced directly from the corporate issuers and specialised providers.
The underlying raw data is cleaned and normalised to address common issues associated with ESG data such as reliability, subjectivity, or lack of sufficient coverage.
A company’s ESG profile is then determined by its performance on material ESG factors which MainStreet Partners groups into 4 categories under each pillar of ESG, for a total of 12 categories.
