Brief description of the data offering
Fund EcoMarket is a free-to-use searchable directory of UK retail sustainable and responsible investment funds and portfolios. Our tool is designed for UK financial advisers and wealth managers, but open to everyone and free to use. Its purpose is to enable advisers to match clients' sustainability and ethical preferences to retail investment options.
The tool includes over searchable 200 filters, and extensive text and links provided by fund and portfolio managers. The linked website has support materials. (Since 2010).
We do not 'rate' funds, as client needs vary (ie not heirachical), however, we do classify funds into styles to help users match strategies to client preferences.
Where and how do you source your data?
We send an annual questionnaire to fund and portfolio managers.
The only aspect of the tool that is our own work is the 'SRI Styles', which classify funds into groups in order to highlight key similarities and differences for the benefit of financial advisers and wealth managers.
What is the cost for your data offering?
Free-to-use and open to all but intended for UK-based retail financial services intermediaries. Our database is paid for by our 25 supporting fund manager partners, whose funds are listed first, with their logos displayed. However, we list (and request the same information from) all relevant fund managers.
