Brief description of the data offering
The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reporting framework has been adopted or recommended by many regulatory bodies globally as a model for reporting climate-related financial information. ICE’s data and analytics can support TCFD-aligned reporting. ICE’s TCFD Data uses company level climate transition data and analytics, ESG entity data, and green bond data, to provide information for TCFD reporting.
By using multiple primary sources of data and sophisticated modelling, ICE offers company emissions data, foot-printing, net zero analysis, avoided emissions, temperature targets, and emissions projections to 2050.
Features
- Company-level greenhouse gas emissions data for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions (including all 15 categories of Scope 3) available for equities, corporate bonds and sovereign bonds, plus, unlisted securities, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and loans modelled with customer data input
- 46,000+ company-level temperature targets (including SBTi-aligned targets) available for ~6,900 companies
- Company business activity breakdown highlighting exposure to high carbon intensive sectors
- Customizable dataset that can be expanded with customer data input.
Where and how do you source your data?
ICE has its own emissions and temperature targets data collection process, carried out by a team of data researchers. Researchers collect data from public sources including but not limited to annual reports, financial statements and sustainability reports. The companies identified for emissions data analysis are reviewed annually to ensure comprehensive coverage. Data for each company is independently analysed by two data researchers before going through broader quality assurance and outlier analysis. A component of the analysis includes assessing the completeness of the data reported by each company.
