The Private Company Physical Climate Risk product includes metrics for over 5 million private companies across the globe. The metrics are derived using the latest climate models and natural catastrophe frameworks to identify the exposure and vulnerability of company assets across the globe to climate-related hazards.
- Acute Hazards: coastal, pluvial, and fluvial flooding, hurricane wind, and wildfire
- Chronic Hazards: extreme heat, extreme cold, and water stress
The physical climate model incorporates the underlying property level risk exposure for over 1.6 billion buildings to create a high resolution global gridded dataset of annual loss ratios, or Value-at-Risk (VaR) metrics expressed as a percentage of total property value and revenue.
The Private Company Transition Climate Risk product includes GHG emissions data for over 5 million private companies. The dataset includes absolute GHG emissions and emissions intensity of revenue covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 and all 15 scope 3 categories. The emissions values are estimated using a proprietary inference model that considers revenue, number of employees, and location data.
