Brief description of the data offering

The NEC is a transparent, relative, impact-based metric: starting with LCA analysis for products, services and activities, the NEC provides its users (investors, banks, index providers, ...) with an assessment of all economic activities based on their impacts on Nature (Pollution - Climate - Resources).

NEC scores range on a scale from -100% to +100%, enabling economic actors to identify the activities that contribute the most to the ecological transition, presenting transition opportunities, and the activities that destroy the most natural capital, exposed to transition risks. 100 shades of red/brown and 100 shades of green to identify and compare all shades of transition.

Where and how do you source your data?

The NEC methodology is based on 250+ public data sources (our methodology is fully transparent, detailed and accessible at https://www.nec-initiative.com/methodology/).

When applied to an issuer's activity, a NEC score is based either on such issuer's reported data or on sectorial and geographic databases (from FactSet RBICS and GEOREV).

What is the cost for your data offering?

The pricing policy depends on the amount of Assets under Management for which the NEC will be applied and used, and the size of the universe (how many issuers analysed, from 1,000 to 50,000). Feel free to contact [email protected] if you need extra information about our prices.
