Brief description of the data offering

This dataset provides state-level time-series on party control, vote totals, and seat shares across major US offices, including the President, US House, US Senate, governors, state legislators, and key statewide offices such as treasurer. It combines raw vote counts, calculated estimates, and derived partisan control indicators to show who governs each state, how they were elected, and how power is distributed between Democrats, Republicans, and other parties.
