Brief description of the data offering
Iceberg Data Lab’s Asset Screening is a dedicated tool for financial institutions to identify where their investments interact with nature, using asset and sensitive-area mapping to assess biodiversity-related risks and impacts.
Iceberg Data Lab’s Asset Screening Tool:
- Consolidates multi-sector asset data and links ownership to your clients or investees, displaying all assets on an interactive map.
- Shows each asset’s footprint and high/medium/low impact buffers, modelling direct and indirect biodiversity impacts.
- Highlights overlaps with key ecological and protected areas, including IUCN Protected Areas, Natura 2000 sites, Ramsar wetlands, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and water-risk zones (Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas).
- Provides distance-weighted impact scores and a binary “impact flag” for assets directly affecting sensitive areas, allowing prioritization of high-risk investments.
Iceberg Data Lab’s Asset Screening Tool supports investors in responding to TNFD, SFDR PAI and CSRD requirements.
