Brief description of the data offering
GIST Impact offers a Double Materiality Assessment and Impacts, Risks and Opportunities solution to:
- Accelerate alignment with key standards and regulations such as CSRD, ISSB and GRI.
- Uncover hidden exposures and value drivers.
- Assess adherence to transition plans.
- Enhance strategic decision-making, communication and engagement.
The modular solution comprises:
Double Materiality Assessment
1. A science-backed, quantitative assessment of impact, financial and double materiality at asset, company, sector and portfolio levels - leveraging collected and estimated sustainability data from raw disclosures (e.g. GHG emissions) to authoritative, specific assessments of impact (e.g. monetised impacts and/or biodiversity footprints).
2. Full transparency to source data and methodology - including weights and assumptions.
3. Topic-specific assessment in accordance with relevant standards and regulations such as CSRD, ISSB and GRI.
Impacts, Risks and Opportunities
1. An AI-driven assessment offering an identification and categorisation of topic-specific impacts, risks and opportunities - including type of outcome (positive or negative), type (actual or potential) and materiality level (from not material to very material).
2. The assessment includes an overview description of the impact, risk or opportunity with one-click traceability to source, as well as an in-depth explanation of the outputs provided, including insights into the scale, scope, likelihood and remediabilty of the impact, risk or opportunity.
3. The assessment leverages disclosed and estimated data, sector benchmarks, science-backed impact assessments and additional quantitative and qualitative company data across its array of disclosures for a given year.
Coverage, Benchmarking and Value Chain
Coverage extends across 18,000+ companies with data from 2016 until present year, with the ability for on-demand data upload and assessment for private entities, complex structure and specific insights.
Automated benchmarking is available at company and sector levels for any given topic, with clear comparison of materiality levels and underlying data.
Assessment extends across the operational, upstream and downstream value chains.
Where and how do you source your data?
The solution leverages disclosed and estimated company sustainability data, science-backed impact assessment (in monetary terms and other authoritative, topic-specific metrics), sector benchmarks, official guidance (e.g. EFRAG) and additional qualitative and quantitative company disclosures.
