AREA provides the next step in the evolution of risk and opportunity analysis for equity portfolios, enabling you to make better investment decisions, elevate your risk management, and strengthen your stakeholder engagement and reporting.
Covering 85 issues, the data, which is delivered by API, maps the entire ecosystem of climate, environmental, social, and political risks against the global locations of over 50,000 publicly traded companies for over 4 million assets. The key advantage of this approach is that you can assess companies against all these risks in one place using a consistent scoring framework. To provide an extra layer of granularity, 50 of the issues covered in AREA also draw on our Industry Risk Data to provide a weighted, sector-by-sector view of risk.
Where and how do you source your data?
Our risk data is built on 1200+ indicators, drawing from a wide range of geospatial, satellite, unstructured, expert-scored, and structured sources. Publicly available data make up only a small minority of these.
As standard, our customers have access to both transformed and raw indicator data, as well as the methodology and sources underpinning every dataset they can access. We give our clients the ability to dig beneath the headline numbers to fully understand the factors relevant to them and how they can best incorporate these into their strategies.
