Brief description of the data offering
The FAIRR Initiative is an investor member network that provides expert research, data and tools for investors, companies and policymakers to better assess risks and opportunities in the global protein supply chain. The Coller FAIRR Protein Producer Index is made up of over 30,000 data points assessing the 60 largest global meat, fish and dairy producers – approximately a quarter of the global aquaculture and livestock market – across 10 ESG factors, including climate impacts, biodiversity loss, waste pollution, and working conditions. Our most recent investor member survey found that over 80% use our data and research to conduct company due diligence research.
Where and how do you source your data?
We source our data using publicly available information, including (but not limited to) annual and sustainability reports, company websites and CDP disclosures. Our data and methodology focuses on companies’ levels of disclosures, practices, policies and performance across risk factors. Our methodology is grounded in international and industry specific standards. Our Protein Producer Index covers 60 of the largest global animal protein companies with significant material exposure to the five main animal protein categories (beef, dairy, pork, poultry, aquaculture).
