Where and how do you source your data?

Moody’s takes a multi-channel approach to sourcing data. Our scores and assessments use only publicly available information that is traceable or has been communicated by identifiable and credible stakeholders, such as that contained in annual reports, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reports, registration documents, etc.

We also collect information directly from companies via our Moody’s ESG360™ Connect.

This platform provides issuers with transparent access to their research frameworks and allows them to respond to data requests.

The accumulated data informs the metrics used by our ESG Score Predictor to generate modelled scores.
