Brief description of the data offering

To bolster its Bespoke Research & Advisory Solutions, ISS ESG recently formed a dedicated team covering custom analytics, expanded ratings solutions and bespoke ESG solutions for the alternate asset space. The team is focused on developing unique tools and solutions for evaluating credit and private equity, infrastructure and real estate, commodities and US municipal issuers.

ISS ESG’s in-house Bespoke Research & Advisory solutions team has the capability to create ESG research and assessments on additional asset classes, such as real estate, infrastructure, private equity and private debt through various customizable scorecarding tools. Real estate solutions comprise ESG performance and risk assessment as well as carbon footrpinting.

Theoretically, these ESG assessments can also be aggregated for indirect investments through funds, given the information is available.

Utilizing its Bespoke Research & Advisory Solutions, ISS ESG can undertake a custom project to evaluate specific structured finance deals. This may include an assessment of the potential positive or negative impacts on the environment from the transaction, considering topics such as climate change, energy consumption, water use, biodiversity and waste management. The evaluation may further address social impacts encompassing factors such as diversity and inclusion, community relations, human rights, labour standards, and data and privacy. Further, governance impacts may be weighed to ensure that  checks and balances are structured into the transaction, particularly regarding conflicts of interests, moral hazards and transparency.

The above are only examples for illustrative purposes and should not be treated as exclusive or all encompassing.
