Brief description of the data offering
Systems Change Lab’s data platform tracks global progress across fifteen major systems – including energy, transport, forests, oceans, finance, circular economy, and more – highlighting current action against climate, biodiversity and equity targets. Data measures how much progress has been made toward global 2030 and 2050 science-based targets, as well as key enablers and barriers of change, such as regulations and incentives, innovations, and leadership from change agents.
Indicators track where change is accelerating or heading in the wrong direction, and where we are likely to see exponential growth. The platform also identifies critical gaps in knowledge and data. Where available, indicators also include country-level and relevant disaggregated data.

The data on Systems Change Lab undergoes a rigorous review and collection process, and is sourced from various datasets, including from governments, intergovernmental organizations, research institutions, and scientific publications. Learn more about our approach on our methodology page.
What is the cost for your data offering?
No cost. Systems Change Lab is committed to providing open data and aims to share as much content as possible free of constraints and restrictions on use. Most datasets are available for direct download on the Systems Change Lab website and are openly available for use so long as the original data source is cited.
