Helge Muenkel has left DBS Bank to join Sydney-based bank ANZ as group general manager for climate and nature.
Muenkel was previously group chief sustainability officer at Singapore-headquartered DBS Bank between 2022 and 2026, responsible for developing its overarching sustainability framework and driving sustainability initiatives across the bank.
He was also an alternate? director at Climate Impact X and sat on the management advisory board for the National University of Singapore’s Sustainable and Green Finance Institute, which provides research on sustainable and green finance focusing on Asia.
Muenkel joined DBS after a decade at ING, latterly as head of Asia Pacific for sustainable finance and global capital markets.
