Von der Leyen confirms EU ETS extension to buildings, transport

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has confirmed plans to extend the scope of the EU carbon trading market to cover the road transport and buildings sectors, whilst another EU official suggested it may run alongside the existing scheme.
